- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment, including motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, and HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with equipment, machinery, and systems to identify the root cause and implement effective solutions.
- Inspect, repair, and replace mechanical components such as bearings, belts, chains, couplings, and seals.
- Monitor and adjust equipment settings, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to schedule and prioritize maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Install, align, and calibrate new machinery or mechanical components as needed.\
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, parts used, and downtime.
- Ensure all maintenance work is performed in compliance with company safety policies and regulations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns, performing quick and effective repairs to minimize operational disruptions.
- Ensure proper use of maintenance tools and equipment and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- 1-3 years of proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician or related, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and mechanical schematics.
- Proficient in the use of mechanical hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance machinery.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Certificate from a trade school in related field.
