JOB SUMMARY:
- Promote and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct daily safety meetings, job hazard assessments, and toolbox talks.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe operation of welding equipment
- Investigate accidents, near misses, and safety incidents; implement corrective actions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and 5S‑compliant work environment.
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of welders, fitters, and welding support personnel.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure work is completed on time.
- Manage labor resources to meet production demands and maximize efficienc
- Coordinate workflow with Engineering, Quality, Production Planning, and Material Management.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks.
- Ensure all welds meet customer requirements, engineering drawings, and applicable welding codes.
- Verify adherence to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and quality standards.
- Coordinate inspections and corrective actions for quality issues.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to reduce defects and rework.
- Support internal and external audits as required.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to welding personnel.
- Train employees on welding techniques, safety requirements, and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct employee evaluations and support career development plans
- Maintain accountability for attendance, productivity, and performance expectations.
- Foster a positive, team‑oriented culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
- Monitor key performance indicators including safety, quality, productivity, labor utilization, and throughput.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Recommend process improvements, equipment upgrades, and cost‑saving opportunities.
- Ensure proper maintenance and care of welding equipment and tools.
- Support inventory control and material utilization efforts.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 5 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of welding processes including MIG, TIG, Flux‑Core, and Stick welding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of welding codes and quality standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS).
- Experience in modular construction, pressure vessels, structural steel, or heavy fabrication.

- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to welding fumes, noise, heat, and moving equipment.
- Ability to wear required PPE including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel‑toed footwear.
